Set in extensive private grounds with 23 individually designed en-suite rooms, which enjoy some of the most stunning views over the rolling Devon countryside, the Hotel offers the convenience of being close to the city centre, and is easily accessible from all major local routes, stations and the airport and usually benefits from all of the peace of the countryside.
Our courtyard restaurant, which has held 2 Red Rosettes for the last nine years, is well known for the warmth of it service and the excellence of its cuisine.

All of the ingredients used in the preparation of the menu are sourced locally from artisan craftsmen suppliers based in Devon and Cornwall, Cornwall also boasts some of the finest fishing grounds around our coast and produces the basis for some superb dishes.

On warm summer evenings it is a joy to sit outside and enjoy a glass of something cool and evocative or even to dine in the fragrant courtyard, and enjoy some of our remarkable service, surrounded by the many interesting plants and flowers which create a warm continental atmosphere like those experienced in the orangerys of many stately homes you will also find rare and interesting plants in both the court yard and the grounds.

All our meeting and conference rooms are equipped with all you need to make your event a success for everyone, and they all enjoy excellent natural light as well as the quiet calm of an amazing location, occasionally punctuated by the tranquil sounds of country life, and arguably some of the finest views in Devon. All out rooms can be equipped with up to the minute technical equipment, internet access is provided across the whole Hotel through free 24hr Wi-Fi we can even drive cars into our ball room!
