Exeter and Essential Devon is home to some of the UK's finest family attractions and natural sites of interest. From historical properties including Exeter Cathedral, some of the National Trust's finest and Exeter's unique Underground Passages to family days out like the Donkey Sanctuary and South Devon Railway you will be spoilt for choice.

Exeter canalExeter is a City of historical importance. One of the best ways to see what Exeter has to offer is by taking a free Guided Tour with one of the City's Red Coat Guides. They operate daily and have a wide range of tours available including the popular Ghosts and Legends Tour. The Quayside is wonderful place to stroll around. There are plenty of cafe's, antique centres, craft and boutique shops to enjoy as well as seeing the Custom House and Quay House Visitor Centre who provide a free audio presentation on the history of Exeter and explain the importance of the Quayside itself.

The areas of Mid Devon and East Devon have beautiful countryside to explore, from the dramatic Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to fascinating nature reserves at Aylesbeare and along the River Exe. The Jurassic Coast stretches for 95 miles along the east coast from Exmouth, with rocks recording 185 million years of the Earth's history. It is England's first natural World Heritage Site.
