The Mill

Relax, unwind and enjoy the picturesque riverside location and tranquillity of The Mill. Liz and Roger will give you a very warm and friendly welcome to their home, which boasts tasteful en suite accommodation. The Mill has been converted maintaining many of its original features and wooden beams and local riverside stone work can be found in most rooms.

Guests are able to enjoy the peaceful situation and take riverside walks, hopefully seeing the resident Kingfisher. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities and colour televisions. The guests have their own lounge and dining room, with French windows leading onto the lawn.

The Mill is just 2 miles from the market town of Tiverton and 10 minutes from Junction 27 of the M5. The rugged North Coast and seaside towns of the South Coast are just 45 minutes away, with Exeter and Taunton being just half an hour away, both ideal shopping centres. Exmoor and Dartmoor are also within easy reach. This makes The Mill an ideal touring centre to explore the whole of Devon. Local tourist attractions include the Grand Western Canal Barge, Bickleigh Mill and also National Trust properties of Killerton and Knightshayes, the latter can be seen from the bedroom windows of the Mill.

All meals are home cooked and special diets are no problem, with prior arrangement. Liz can offer packed lunches, or snacks during the day as well as a wholesome home cooked evening meals. Families are welcome and will enjoy paddling and swimming in the River Exe. The Mill is on the route of the Exe Valley Way which offers a network of walks along the route of the River Exe.

Jct. 27 of the M5 - A361 to end of dual carriageway. Left at roundabout, straight across next roundabout. Right at leisure centre, past Morrisons, right at next roundabout, 0.5 miles right to Washfield. 1.5 miles right to Lower Washfield. The Mill is 1st right.
